POM FAIL!

That's right my POM commercial didn't make it to the top 10 :( oh well. There's one out there that completely beat me out on ridiculousness. Which is pretty awesome. I hope this guy wins.

Anyway first loss for me in awhile. Here's my postmortem for the video:

Things that went right:

Lighting: I bought some halogen lamps that helped a ton! I'm really glad i got those and they helped a ton with lighting and everything.

Sticking with what I know: I first tried using my mac to edit the video, but I ended up trying to figure out new ways to things I already knew how to do. So, I ended up going back to my PC and finished up everything within a few days. So yea stay with what I know how to use.

Matt and Bryson: They helped out a lot and they knew their parts pretty well.

Things that went wrong:
Using a battery with only 6 min of life on it: Made me rush, made me not think clearly on what I needed, did less takes of things I needed

Music: Again tried to use Garageband and ended up just using the stuff I already had. Wish I did this earlier. The tasting music kind of sucked, but that was the only thing that i had that remotely had anything to what I wanted.

Comedy isn't quite my forte, but I learned that the more ridiculous I make it the more funny it should be. For this, I tried to make it something in between. Something serious at first, to something very silly at the end. Didn't fly to well i guess.

So there you have it! Hopefully we'll do super awesome on the monkey video and do something amazing the next

Picking up from where we left off

You all probably know, the Two Loons for Tea contest has now been extended to the end of March. It's kind of a relief and kinda stressing at the same time to know the fact that we've got plenty of time to polish what we've got, but then we've got a project that isn't finished yet. Check it out.

In the meantime, I've decided that I want to add more to my slowly growing video profile. I think a professional looking commercial would be nice. Here's an ad that I found and absolutely adore! http://www.milienzo.com/2007/07/10/epuron-advert-will-make-you-smile/

We're still here

Hey sorry... long time no post.

So here's what has happened the pass month (wow, it's been that long!)

Two Loons for Tea:
We've been butting heads on this one a lot and we finally settled on an idea.
The story is a woman who gives away a life long friend, her stuffed animal monkey. The music video progresses shows all the good times that her and her monkey have had. In the end you see that the monkey ends up being passed on to another little girl.

The good news is we turned out a really good music video and all that jazz, however, the contest has been extended to March. We have some minor fixes we want to refilm, so we aren't showing you guys it yet.... Well ben might, but i'm not ^_^

POM Tea:
So I really wanted to get more than one contest in. So once I got done filming the Two loons for tea commercial, I sought out to make my own POM Commercial.

The premise, what happens when you mix POM Tea with the movie 300? My Commercial!
